can you repeat that??? brought together more than twenty international artists whose works each held a different relationship with language, as memory, gesture, resistance, loss, and belonging. the works were placed around the space the way a new language is learnt: through repetition, recognition, and slowly finding yourself a little more inside something unfamiliar.

a single poem, built from one line per artwork, became the curatorial note, repeated beside every work, with only that artwork's line highlighted each time. the same words, read differently, again and again.

the space itself was also scented with a mix of petrichor and sandalwood, an attempt to make the unfamiliar feel, somehow, like somewhere you had been before.
